Little Blessings Children's Center

Little Blessings begins its 10th successful year

After a restful summer & renewed spirit we begin another school year.  Thank you Lord! Our staff has changed just a little. We welcome back Kelly Bard, the head teacher for the Three-Year-Old Class, Amy Capobianco-Diaz, the Threes teacher aide, Marika Chasse, the Fours teacher aide, and AnnMarie Heidgerd, the Almost Threes teacher aide. These dedicated and hard working individuals are truly the best! We say good by and thank you to Amy Unger who shared her gifts and talents with us for two years heading the Almost Threes program. She is returning to Mount Kisco Elementary School as a part time teacher. We will miss her but wish her well as she begins the next chapter of her career.

The great news for Little Blessings is Jacalyn Scala will be the new Almost Threes Teacher. Jacalyn lives in Thornwood with her husband and two children. She has an excellent academic background and extensive experience as an educator. She will be an asset to the preschool. Our enrollment has been inching up. Our Fours Class is full, our Threes and Almost Threes still have a few openings. We are preparing the classrooms, stocking supplies, scheduling events, and planning activities. We hope our students are as excited as we are for the beginning of the school year. New faces, new friendships, lots of learning and even more fun. Visit us any morning from 9:00 to 11:45am to see and hear God's little treasures spreading their wings.

Yours In Christ,
Joann Spolzino

Little Blessings Children's Center
Overview
Little Blessings provides two, three and four year olds with a safe, loving environment where they can play and learn. Little Blessings’ program is intended not only to ready our students for kindergarten through a quality preschool program, but more importantly to do so in an environment where instilling Christian values is first and foremost in our daily routine.

Program
Our students attend preschool from 9:00am to 11:45am on weekday mornings, either 2, 3, 4 or 5 days per week. Our early education program is designed to promote the cognitive, social, emotional, physical and spiritual growth of each child. Our focus is on learning through play, socialization and kindergarten readiness. The children have opportunities to be creative through arts and crafts activities, express themselves through dramatic and imaginative play, create through baking and gardening, appreciate music through song and movement, and many other exciting activities. We have visitors such as the Fire Department and local dentist as well as take field trips to nearby areas of interest. Most importantly, Little Blessings helps the child and family develop a relationship with Jesus through bible teachings, prayer, celebrating Christian holidays and hopefully through our example.
