Little Blessings Children's Center
Little Blessings welcome students to the
2013-14 school year:
Carpets, rugs and floors were cleaned, furniture and toys were washed and classrooms were set up. Teachers were well rested thanks to a wonderful summer vacation. All of this to welcome our students to another year of learning and playing. Our Meet the Teacher event was held on the Friday before school started. Parents and children met their teachers and explored their new classrooms. They were introduced to new friends and reconnected with some old friends. You could sense the excitement in the air.
School began rather calmly with only the occasional cry from an “Almost Three” fearing that mom or dad might forget them forever. Adjusting to new people and new surroundings can be rough on a little one; it can be rough on a parent too. Thank God, all has settled down now and routines are beginning to take shape.
The Four Year Old Classes have already learned the “good listener“ and “free play” rules. They are reviewing colors, shapes and have begun to learn their letters. Apples was one of the topics they spent much time on, doing taste tests, baking apple turnovers, making apple prints and much more. Pastor Nicole has started chapel time. The children learned that God made each one of them special.
The Three Year Olds are learning about friendship and creation. They too are learning letters and made apple pies.
And the “Almost Threes” have just been introduced to lining up while holding a rope. Boy, do they catch on fast. They are starting to work on the circle shape and the color yellow.
October will bring with it the Fire Department visit, the Pumpkin Patch trip, Trunk or Treat and Halloween.
We hope your school year is getting off to a good start as well. We are so blessed to begin fresh each September with a renewed energy and spirit ready to embark on a year of new friends, new adventures, and new things to learn all while growing in God’s love.
Yours In Christ,

Little Blessings Children's Center
Little Blessings Director,
Little Blessings provides two, three and four year olds with a safe, loving environment where they can play and learn. Little Blessings’ program is intended not only to ready our students for kindergarten through a quality preschool program, but more importantly to do so in an environment where instilling Christian values is first and foremost in our daily routine.
Our students attend preschool from 9:00am to 11:45am on weekday mornings, either 2, 3, 4 or 5 days per week. Our early education program is designed to promote the cognitive, social, emotional, physical and spiritual growth of each child. Our focus is on learning through play, socialization and kindergarten readiness. The children have opportunities to be creative through arts and crafts activities, express themselves through dramatic and imaginative play, create through baking and gardening, appreciate music through song and movement, and many other exciting activities. We have visitors such as the Fire Department and local dentist as well as take field trips to nearby areas of interest. Most importantly, Little Blessings helps the child and family develop a relationship with Jesus through bible teachings, prayer, celebrating Christian holidays and hopefully through our example.
