Our Mission:
Lutheran Church of the Resurrection—
a welcoming community making Christ known through worship and service.

Our Vision:
A Church where lives are transformed through the resurrection Spirit of Jesus Christ.

Our Core Values:

  • We are committed to reach the lost and seekers with the love of Christ.
  • We are a mission center for all who seek spiritual health and wholeness.
  • We care for each other in Christ-like love.
  • We are dedicated to growing and nurturing individuals, families, and children.
  • We strive to develop fully devoted, spiritually mature followers of Jesus Christ.
  • We exist to thank, glorify, and praise God through worship and preaching that is Spirit-filled and innovative.
  • We are called, empowered, and sent by God for mission in the world.

Our Beliefs:

God
The church confesses the Triune God; Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ
We accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and the center of our life. Through the grace of his life, death and resurrection, God makes us a new creation.

The Bible
The Bible is the inspired Word of God which comes to us as both Law and Gospel. The Gospel is the power of God for salvation of all who believe. It is the authoritative source of our proclamation, faith and life.

The Church

  • Acknowledges Jesus Christ as the head of the Church. All our ministries are carried out for his glory under his guidance and authority.
  • Shall worship God through the proclamation of the Word and Sacraments, prayer and praise. Is a people created by Christ, empowered by the Holy Spirit with gifts, called and sent to bear witness to God’s creative, redeeming, and sanctifying activity in the world.
  • Welcomes all people wherever they are on life’s journey of faith.

The Disciple
We are called to continual renewal and growth through:

  • Regular worship centered around Word and Sacrament.
  • Daily devotion of prayer.
  • Regular reading of the Bible.
  • Service to others in ministry providing care and nurture.
  • Mentoring others in the faith through spiritual friendships.
  • Giving of our time, talents and treasures.
