ALAN REINGOLD'S GUEST ARTISTS CREATE “PASSION” PIECES
FOR 2006 SUNDAY LENTEN SERIES

Our Passion series was a six-week look at the meaning of the cross which featured guest artists culled from Alan Reingold's roster of excellent students who take art instruction in our church classrooms. Each Sunday, March 5 through April 9, 2006, we welcomed Alan and his talented students into our Sanctuary during 9:00 and 11:00 worship to paint during our services. Each completed work serves a metaphor of our Passion series worship themes: Battle, Example, Ransom, Exchange, Sacrifice, and Fulfillment.

During our Good Friday evening service on April 14, each of the six paintings was united to form a complete picture for understanding the Passion of the Christ. We invite you view the images below from this exciting and innovative series.

We would also like to recognize the following students who assisted in creating these wonderful paintings, which were given as a gift to our church: Flo Gidez, Nick Heinie, Maggie Heize, Cesar Isabel, Deborah Jung, Peter Sriployung, and Susanna Yoffe.
