WELCA's Ongoing Projects for 2008
Baskets for Northern Westchester Shelter (NWS): WELCA is seeking ongoing donations of various household and personal items for abused women and their children. Baskets are given to these women leaving the shelter as a gesture of goodwill.
911 Cells Help Abused Women: What to do with that old cell phone? Don’t throw it out! Verizon will reprogram old phones to dial 911 and they will be donated to shelters for abused women. A collection basket is in the ambulatory.
Eyeglasses for Lions: Have any old eyeglasses lying around? WELCA is collecting them for donation to the National Lion’s Club. A collection basket is in the ambulatory.
