WELCA Tag Sale: November 14 (9am-3pm)

WELCA's Marion Krumlauf shows off her treasures at the 2005 sale.

Start organizing your treasures! WELCA will be holding a tag sale on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at LCR! If you would like to participate and sell your treasures you can purchase a table for just $30. Proceeds from the table sales will benefit the Agape Fund and we hope to have Thrivent Financial for Lutherans supplement our donations. Questions? Please email Enid Petricone. The Youth Group will be holding a bake sale the same day to help fund youth events during the year. Also, healthy, home-cooked lunches will be sold in our Lounge area.

WELCA Tag Sale 2005

WELCA's "Good Stuff" Tag Sale was held at LCR on November 5, 2005 . Tables were rented to LCR members, friends and neighbors for a small price and everyone pitched in to make the day a success. Everything from clothing, appliances, decorations, toys were offered at the sale, as well as an LCR Youth-sponsored bake sale
WELCA is proud to announce that sales netted a total of $1,151.70, nearly the same amount made last year. Here's the breakdown: The WELCA-sponsored bric-a-brac tables returned $467.50; table rentals gave us $400; the bake sale sold $166.70;
and lunch sales were $117.50.

Laura Atwell (L) gives thanks for steady sales.
Kristina Reilly, (R) a proud mom of four, has lots of good tag sale stock!

Our blessings and appreciation to Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, who gave $900 toward this project. All total, that makes possible the giving of over $2,000 toward
the projects which the women and youth had voted on. WELCA will be gifting $1,700
to LCR's Little Blessings Children’s Center and $250 to The PEPY Ride, a program that does educational bike rides across Cambodia raising awareness about and money to build a rural school in that country. The Youth Group will receive $166.60 to send to Lutheran World Relief ( Pakistan ). It was a fun day with everyone working together
for the Lord’s work.
