WELCA's "Good Stuff" Tag Sale was held at LCR on November 5, 2005. Tables were rented to LCR members, friends and neighbors for a small price and everyone pitched in to make the day a success. Everything from clothing, appliances, decorations, toys were offered at the sale, as well as an LCR Youth-sponsored bake sale and healthy, home cooked lunches sold in our Lounge area.
WELCA is proud to announce that sales netted a total of $1,151.70, nearly the same amount made last year. Here's the breakdown: The WELCA-sponsored bric-a-brac tables returned $467.50; table rentals gave us $400; the bake sale sold $166.70;
and lunch sales were $117.50.

Our blessings and appreciation to Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, who gave $900 toward this project. All total, that makes possible the giving of over $2,000 toward
the projects which the women and youth had voted on. WELCA will be gifting $1,700
to LCR's Little Blessings Children’s Center and $250 to The PEPY Ride, a program that does educational bike rides across
Cambodia
raising awareness about and money to build a rural school in that country. The Youth Group will receive $166.60 to send to Lutheran World Relief (
Pakistan
). It was a fun day with everyone working together
for the Lord’s work.
