About Us

Little Blessings provides two, three and four year olds with a safe, loving environment where they can explore, play, create and grow. Little Blessings' program is intended not only to ready our students for kindergarten through a quality preschool program, but more importantly to do so in an environment where instilling values is first and foremost in our daily routine.

Little Blessings is a half-day Christian preschool that offers a high-quality early childhood program in a faith-based environment, focusing on nurturing each child's cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and spiritual development. Our curriculum emphasizes learning through play and social interactions, preparing children for kindergarten with activities tailored to their next educational step. Children engage in various activities, including art, dramatic and imaginative play, baking, gardening, science, music, and movement. Above all, Little Blessings strives to deliver a distinctive educational experience that fosters intellectual growth while nurturing the overall development of each child.

 FACILITY

The Lutheran Church of the Resurrection was built as a place of worship and with the intent of teaching children.  A spacious hallway encircles the sanctuary, which is at the center of the building. Windows flank the top of the walls of the hallway running the entire perimeter of the building. Classrooms are strategically placed around the outside of the hallway. The classrooms have large windows bringing in an abundance of natural light.

Outside the back of the church is a large patio made of pavers. This is the perfect area for our little ones to ride their tricycles, cars and scooters. Off to the right is the playground shaded by many maple and oak trees. Our playground is equipped with a playset, seesaws, picnic tables and playhouses and there is still plenty of room for running and jumping. Of course, the entire area is enclosed by a fence and three gates.

Our classrooms are large and airy. Natural light shines through the many windows along the outside walls. Colorful decorations, furniture and toys are neatly organized into learning centers. Area rugs are positioned around the room to provide the children with comfortable places to sit as they engage in many fun educational activities in small groups or large.  Safety is of utmost importance to us. Our classrooms are well maintained and all equipment has been carefully selected for each age group.

In our large motor room, our preschoolers participate in a weekly music and movement class, along with various activities such as parachute play, jumping, rolling, crawling, and hopping on gym mats. Engaging in gross motor activities is crucial for a child's development, as it enhances coordination, balance, agility, and motor planning, while also boosting their confidence.

We are equipped with a building security system and monitor all persons entering the building. In addition, all classroom doors are locked when the children are inside. Teachers and aides have the capability to communicate instantly with other staff in the building, the main office and of course emergency personnel, if it becomes necessary to do so.
